Following its OEM strategy, NDrive partners with Brazilian telco Oi to launch a new navigation application, free for all users in Brazil.
Oi is a Brazilian leading company in providing local and long distance voice communications, mobile, broadband and pay-per-view television services. In March 2013, the company had 74.7 millions of revenue-generating units.
The application Oi Mapas, currently available on Google Play and to be launched within the next few weeks in Apple’s App Store, is an offline GPS navigation system that portraits the new routing technology developed by NDrive during the past year, as well as a renewed interface and amazing 3D graphics. It includes the latest map of Brazil with lifetime updates, as well as all the social networks connectors, which allow the user to discover and share millions of places. All these improvements can also be found in NDrive’s app – NLife.
Oi Mapas is free for all smartphone users, despite their current mobile operator. This project will be monetized by creating a network of premium publishers, interested in promoting their products to the soon-to-be massive user base.
This operation is part of NDrive’s OEM global strategy, along with success partnerships like Mappy, PT, Basarsoft and Vodafone, among others.
