Telmap teamed up with the national mapping agency of Great Britain to expand its points of interest offering in the region.
Telmap, an international LBS provider, announced its collaboration with Great Britain’s national mapping agency, Ordnance Survey. The main objective of the venture is to provide a more abundant selection of points of interest (POI) information throughout Great Britain by integrating Ordnance Survey’s Points of Interest product into Telmap’s location based services.
Telmap developed a personalized Mobile Location Companion, which is designed to serve the mapping, navigational, traffic and POI needs of users. Telmap's LBS are sold as white label solutions to numerous mobile operators. Ordnance Survey is a leading brand in Great Britain and its products and services are relied upon by the national government, businesses and individuals throughout the region. Tom Satterthwaite, Senior Product Manager, Ordnance Survey stated that “As Telmap solution are deployed in most major Great Britain operators’ networks, we are excited that our information is going to be accessible to as many people in Great Britain as possible.”
