Maestro Wireless Solutions has worldwide reach through its network of local distributors and partners and has deployed in excess of 350K modems in over 40 countries.
Maestro Wireless Solutions, a subsidiary of the Fargo Telecom Group based in Hong Kong, has acquired the GPS Receiver assets of Vincotech. This adds further GPS modules to the Maestro Wireless Solutions product family, including the recently launched SiRF Star IV A2100 GPS receiver module.
“Acquiring GPS receiver modules is a natural extension of Fargo Telecom’s know-how in wireless design and distribution for M2M applications, and it will expand the Maestro product offering to meet our customers’ needs with key technologies and cost efficiency,” notes Xavier Dupont, Managing Director of the Fargo Telecom Group.
In today’s fast-paced M2M world, confidence in technology is paramount and reducing time-to-market poses a real challenge. To serve customers speedily with superior products, Maestro Wireless Solutions is continuously expanding its technological expertise and adding the right products to its portfolio. Experienced and knowledgeable people complement the end-to-end service chain, achieving the best results and satisfying customers.
“Maestro Wireless Solutions has long worked with customers and partners on Asset Tracking platforms and location-based products, and GPS technology is core to our business. We will now be contacting all existing Vincotech customers to assure them of our continuing support, and working with them to ensure an orderly transfer of supply,” says Olivier Bernard, VP Business Development at Maestro Wireless Solutions.
Eckart Seitter, Vincotech Vice President Sales & Marketing, added, “We are pleased to have found for our customers worldwide a very competent and experienced partner to carry on our leading-edge GPS module portfolio.”
The integration process will commence right after the due diligence has been completed, with the closing date slated for the end of October.
