Targeted, location aware advertising inventory available on Nobex Radio Companion.
NAVTEQ has announced its selection by Nobex to enable its Nobex Radio Companion application with NAVTEQ LocationPoint location based advertising services. The location aware advertising enables Nobex’s existing customer base of 1.5 million Blackberry smart phone users to see targeted advertising when they are near the advertiser’s retail locations.
The integration of NAVTEQ LocationPoint Advertising within Nobex Radio Companion expands the value of making radio listening interactive to 4500 stations in the US, Canada, UK and 60 other countries, including 86 stations in Spain. NAVTEQ LocationPoint ads are displayed in place of radio ads allowing listeners to view offers from nearby merchants such as coffee shops and restaurants that match their needs. By clicking on an advertisement for merchant services and special offers, the users will see details on the offer, distance to the nearest location, address and phone number. The rich graphical promotions and mobile coupons, have engaging calls to action including Click-to-Call and Click-to-Map directly from the smart phone. The user can then ”drive to” or ”walk to” the advertised location.
“NAVTEQ LocationPoint provides a strong business model for Nobex and its radio station partners,” said Gadi Mazor, president for Nobex Technologies, Inc. “NAVTEQ LocationPoint provides potential revenues for all parties, plus full accountability of an ad’s effect through measurable ROI statistics back to the advertiser.”
“Our relationship with Nobex represents how NAVTEQ is working with affiliates such at Media and Entertainment.” said Christopher Rothey, vice president market development and advertising for NAVTEQ. “Benefitting from the full complement of NAVTEQ’s advertising services and sales force, Nobex inventory offers marketers relevant, actionable advertising that reaches radio listeners when they’re in the neighborhood—and ready to make a purchase”.
